The Blue Tigers Stay Undefeated
Lincoln football remained undefeated as they took down the Central Blue Eagles 75-0 Saturday, October 19. Junior safety Marcus Bass (right) recorded three interceptions in the game, returning 1 for a touchdown. This marks the first time in 25 years that the Blue Tigers have been undefeated this late in the season.
On the year, junior QB Howard Brown has thrown for 1,006 yards and 16 TDs to just one interception, while rushing for 698 yards and 11 TDs. As a team, Lincoln has rushed for 2,464 yards and 33 TDs, most coming from Brown, senior RB Mario Woods, Jr. (764 yds, 9 TDs) and junior RB Israel Gentry (573 yds, 9 TDs).
The Bears Continue Their Winning Ways
The East Bears also won over the weekend, defeating the Southeast Knights 55-14. The Bears were led offensively by senior QB Cristian Owens who threw for 221 yards and 3 TDs. Sophomore RB Deion Miles added 182 total yards and 2 TDs, giving him 884 total yards and 10 TDs on the year. Junior WR/S Chris Thornton also added a receiving TD (6 on the year) and his 8th interception.
