East Bears Soccer Earns Post-Season Accolades

Two East Bears Soccer players earned post-season accolades for their performance on the year. Senior Benoit Bilombele was named to the 1st Team All-Regional team and Honorable Mention All-State. Junior Usseni Shabani was named to the 1st Team All-Regional team and 1st Team All-State.

Lincoln Blue Tigers Football Also Earns Post-Season Recognition

A pair of Lincoln Prep Blue Tiger Football players also earned post-season recognition. Junior QB Howard Brown was named a finalist for the Frank Fontana Award (Top All-Around Player Class 1-4) and Junior LB Jermaine Hamilton-Jordan is a finalist for the Bobby Bell Award (Top Lineman/LB Class 1-4). Lincoln Prep Head Coach William Lowe is also a finalist for Coach of the Year.

The East Bears Wrestling Team Shows Out at the Eagle Classic

The East Bears also had a good showing at the Eagle Classic with three wrestlers earning 1st place finishes, including Litsy Flores (135 Girls), Daniel Tapusoa (152) and Jasson Pineda (182). Matthew Schrader (120) earned a 2nd place finish.

KCPS Hosts Elementary Cheer Clinic

And an Elementary Cheer Clinic will take place Saturday, Dec. 14 and Jan. 18 from 10 AM to 2 PM at Anderson. The clinic is free to all elementary age KCPS children, and KCPS High School Cheer and Dance coaches and members will work with the students. (Photos by Kevin Bair)
