An outstanding team of scholars from Lincoln College Preparatory Academy recently earned the Missouri Council on Economic Education Financial Football State Championship.
Lincoln Prep’s team defeated a team from a high school in St Louis. Both teams answered a series of personal finance questions and used strategy to move the virtual football down the field. LCPA had Keith Cash, a former tight end from the Kansas City Chiefs, as its honorary coach.
The University of Missouri-Kansas City sponsored this annual event in Kansas City. The Lincoln Prep students that participated are part of an after-school program and they worked extremely hard to understand every aspect of personal finance. Congratulations to the entire team and their coach, JROTC Instructor Anthony Edwards!
