Ugly Holiday Sweaters Make A Great Team

Central office staff and principals celebrate holidays with food and fun

Kansas City, Dec. 21, 2017: Team KCPS knows how to get its ugly on.

Garish sweaters were in abundance as Kansas City Public Schools central office staff and principals celebrated the holiday season with food and fun during a party on Tuesday, Dec. 19 at the Board of Education building.

The festive luncheon was decorated as Santa’s workshop and featured an ugly holiday sweater contest, a word scramble challenge and a white elephant gift exchange. It was also an opportunity for Superintendent Mark Bedell to encourage team members before the winter break.

“I want you all to think about how you can inspire before you expire,” Dr. Bedell said. “It’s very important that we all take the time to rest and revive so that we can continue the school year with enough energy to finish strong.”
