Superintendent Hosts Town Hall With Teachers, Support Staff

Forum part of ongoing process to engage key stakeholders

Kansas City, Nov. 30, 2017: Kansas City Public Schools Superintendent Mark Bedell hosted a Town Hall forum with faculty and support staff from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29 in the East High School auditorium.

This was an open discussion where teachers and staff were encouraged to ask Dr. Bedell pertinent questions and offer suggestions. A live stream from the forum was broadcast online at and viewers were able to send their questions digitally.

KCPS has about 2,500 employees at 36 schools and the Board of Education central office. Dr. Bedell regularly holds forums with staff and students in order to proactively promote dialogue, identify challenges and develop solutions.
