In its continuing mission to serve all students and their families, Kansas City Public Schools has a new place where community members can gather. On February 16, 2017 KCPS and the Mexican Consulate launched the Plaza Communitarias program. This program aims to provide educational services to Mexican nationals and other Latinos with children enrolled in KCPS. The program will be located at East High School. With students, parents, staff, and neighbors on hand to celebrate this momentous occasion. As the Plaza Communitarias program grows, it will look to expand its locations and services as it assesses the needs of its families. Classes are scheduled to start at 5:00pm on Thursday, March 2.
