KCPS Communications Team Earns Multiple Awards

Missouri School Public Relations Association Recognizes Outstanding Work


Kansas City, Oct. 25, 2017: The Kansas City Public Schools Office of Communications recently received the following honors as part of the Missouri School Public Relations Association’s (MOSPRA) 2017 Communications Awards Program:

  • Golden Achievement Award of Commendation for the 2016 Summerfest event
  • Marketing/Special Purpose Award of Commendation for Dr. Bedell’s Post-Entry Plan
  • Video Award of Merit for the office’s “Game On” video (view below)

Every year, MOSPRA gives its members the opportunity to have their work evaluated by PR professionals and measured against industry standards. Each submission in the program was judged by two PR professionals both inside and outside of the public education arena.

The KCPS Office of Communications is led by Chief of Staff/Chief Communications and Community Engagement Officer Natalie Allen and Director Justin Robinson.

MOSPRA is the state chapter of the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA). Like its parent organization, MOSPRA is dedicated to providing citizens with a better understanding of the objectives, accomplishments and needs of the schools within our communities.
