Kansas City, Oct. 23, 2017: In honor of the October 1758 birthday of renowned American dictionary pioneer Noah Webster, the Rotary Club of Kansas City (Rotary 13) is donating dictionaries to all Kansas City Public Schools third graders this month.

As part of this initiative, club members handed out dictionaries to students starting at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 23 at George Melcher Elementary School, which is located at 3958 Chelsea St. in Kansas City, Mo.

“It is our hope that these dictionaries will be one tool to help the young people of the district reach their full potential,” club member and event organizer Douglas Anderson said. “It is deeply meaningful for Rotary 13 to be serving the youth of the school district in which our club is located.”
