What motivated your career in education?
What motivated my career in education was when I realized the reality of urban schools. I saw the inequalities and I had to do something about it. I became an educator to help close the achievement gap with the urban community and especially black children.
What message about public education do you want to share?
The message I want to share about public education is that every student has the ability to learn. We as educators have to set the bar and impact students. There is no other option but to change the very children’s lives that we teach by giving them a quality education.
