Friendly Competition Marks First Team KCPS Intramurals Day

Kansas City, December 6, 2017:  Team KCPS got its game on!

Kansas City Public Schools hosted a debut Intramurals Day for employees from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2 at Central Academy of Excellence, which is located at 3221 Indiana Ave. in Kansas City, Mo.

The day featured three-on-three basketball and four-on-four volleyball matches with teams comprised of employees from different schools and departments, including Superintendent Mark Bedell. There were also card games, dominoes and table games.

Team KCPS Intramurals Day was intended to build staff unity and promote spirit across the school system. This day of fun and games was open all KCPS employees and their families. It included free food and prizes, plus t-shirts for the first 250 attendees.
