Kansas City, March 9, 2017: Central Academy of Excellence is calling all Kansas City Public Schools staff, alumni, partners and community members to help with its “Knock & Talk for Dropouts” from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25.

This event is part of Dropout Awareness Month. Organizers led by Central team member Sam Johnson are seeking volunteers who are willing to join the effort to decrease the school’s current dropout rate.

The event will start at the school, which is located at 3221 Indiana Ave. in Kansas City, MO. Participants in teams of two will then go out together to visit the last known addresses of students who have been marked as dropouts over the last two school years.

For more information or to express your willingness to volunteer, please contact Mr. Johnson at sjohnso4@kcpublicschools.org or 816-305-2011.
